I’m Meaghan. I’m 15 and the middle child of Anni and Jim. They both work – Mom is a preschool teacher and Dad is an operations manager. My sister Chelsea (14) is my best friend. I like my brother Travis (18) too – he has a good heart. I also have a dog named Scruffy. We all live in Littleton, Colorado, where the weather is always beautiful.
Mashed potatoes are my comfort food. Whenever I eat them, I instantly feel better. I also love the movie “Bruce Almighty” because it’s funny and has a great moral. In school, I love my creative writing class because I can write what I really feel and no one will judge me.
I was first diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma in January 1999, but I had my last treatment almost four years ago! Dr. Greffe always made me feel so safe – he was one of my favorite doctors. If I could have three wishes come true after this whole experience, they would be: 1) people never staring at people with differences, 2) end to hunger and 3) cancer awareness everywhere!
