Savanna was diagnosed with Type II PPB (pleuropulmonary blastoma) on February 22, 2006. She is one of 167 children who have been diagnosed with this type of lung cancer since it was so named in 1977. Even though the main treatment hospitals for PPB are in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and St. Louis, Missouri, Savanna has been getting her treatments by Dr. David Becton at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
