Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) Event

The 2009 Hyundai Hope on Wheels Tour kicked off with two exciting launch events in April.

On April 7, the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Tour will began with a kick-off ceremony at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA), Hyundai’s domestic production facility outside of Montgomery, Alabama. The white Hope on Wheels Santa Fe vehicle is manufactured at the HMMA plant, so this year national youth ambassador Sammy Heim was there to see the cars as they roll of the assembly line and apply the first handprints of the 2009 Tour. New York International Auto Show

After the kick-off ceremony at HMMA, Sammy and the white Hope on Wheels Santa Fe traveled to New York City for the first Handprint Ceremony of the year on Thursday, April 9th. This inaugural ceremony was held at Hyundai’s booth at the New York International Auto Show! Children from the Hope and Heroes program at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York Presbyterian will joined Sammy at the auto show to place their handprints on the Hope on Wheels Santa Fe and accept a donation to the hospital. Los Angeles Dodgers Honor Hope on Wheels and Children's Hospital Los Angeles

On June 30, Hyundai Hope on Wheels will conduct a Handprint Ceremony and present a donation to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium prior to the game. National Youth Ambassador Sammy Heim and a local Hyundai dealer will throw out the first pitch, serving as a symbol of hope to all children who have battled cancer. Hope on Wheels at Children’s Memorial Hospital "Run for Gus"

Chicagoland Hyundai dealers will conduct a Handprint Ceremony and make their donation to Children’s Memorial Hospital at the 7^th annual Run for Gus on July 30. The 5K run and 1 mile family fun walk will take place in Lincoln Park’s Diversey Harbor, click here to register!

Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai

Once again the northeast region of Hyundai dealers will be the presenting sponsor of the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk on September 13th. Local dealers will conduct a Handprint Ceremony the night before the walk to present the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with the Hope on Wheels donation.
